The DevOps team at HUMAN is responsible for a production platform that handles hundreds of thousands to millions of requests per second with a strict response time limitation and high availability.
This is a critical system presenting endless infrastructure engineering challenges.
We run tens of thousands of nodes on a multi-region cloud environment, and we put a big emphasis on performance, efficiency, and FinOps.
We’re looking for a strong and experienced DevOps engineer with a proven record of designing data infrastructure for massive scales using technologies such as Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB, and Postgresql.
An ideal candidate is someone passionate, tech-savvy, and independent, who can identify and suggest potential points for improvement, who works well within a team, and who has plenty of experience with complex, high-performance backend systems.
What you'll do:
- Design and implement our production infrastructure.
- Independently identify points for improvement within our data infrastructure, from DevOps to backend components, then pursue them using hands-on work and mentoring of the team.
- Monitor critical production systems, and help identify root causes and issues.
- Help mentor and educate the team with knowledge and best practices.
- Have a key impact on the performance of our entire system, reaching millions of users every second.
- Help shape the team vision and culture, and take a lead role in pursuing it.
Who you are:
- 6+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- Proven record designing huge scale solutions using Kafka and Kubernetes.
- A team player who puts the team first, and is able to take on a leading role within it.
- Experience with one or more of the following: ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB, and Postgresql - big advantage.
- Involvement in tech communities - open-source activity, giving or attending talks and conferences, writing and reading technical blog posts - big advantage.
