Summary/Objective
The position of Associate Director of People, Israel is responsible for managing and enhancing the employee experience of our Israel based employees, as part of executing a larger, global people team strategy. This position is responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, budget management, employment hearings, onboarding, welfare, change management and policies & procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with a focus on full-time Israel-based employees.
Essential Functions
Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and implement local HR strategies aligned with the larger global HR strategy, as well as the company’s goals and values.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Israel-based HR team, ensuring a high level of service and support to employees.
Collaborate with senior management to drive organizational change and foster a positive workplace culture.
Partner with the US-based HR team to execute HR initiatives and provide a top-notch, consistent employee experience.
Policy Harmonization:
Assist in developing a strategy for harmonizing HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organization's overarching HR standards.
Customize policy adaptations and communications to address differences in global entities while maintaining compliance.
Communication & Change Management:
Assist in executing a communication and change management plan that considers the varying communication needs of Israel-based employees.
Ensure clear and consistent messaging to all stakeholders, addressing any concerns or uncertainties.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Partner with the Global Senior Director of Talent Acquisition in the selection, hiring and onboarding of top talent.
Design and implement onboarding programs to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the company.
Employee Relations:
Manage employee relations issues, including employment hearings, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
Performance Management & Development:
Develop and implement performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
Identify and implement training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Implement ongoing training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Compensation, Benefits & Welfare:
Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and align with company goals.
Monitor market trends and provide recommendations for adjustments to salary structures and benefit offerings, such as leaves of absence, vacation and sick time, and pension plans.
Manage all welfare programs and events, as well as the annual holiday schedule.
Sponsor employee participation in cross-cultural committee membership, quarterly awards ceremonies and wellness activities.
Compliance & Policy:
Ensure compliance with Israeli labor laws and regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
Develop a compliance checklist and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) playbook specific to each type of HR action.
Infrastructure & HR Systems:
Operate as the HR Administrator in the global HRIS, ensuring Israel employee data is correct and complete at all times.
Audit HRIS data, run reports and assist employees with HRIS questions and support.
Utilize the HRIS to complete HR functions such as performance review cycles, compensation cycles and new hire onboarding.
Education and Experience
A minimum of 4 years of experience in HR management, with a focus on full-time employees in Israel.
Strong knowledge of Israeli labor laws and HR best practices.
Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
Proficiency in HR software and systems.
Experience practicing HR in a multi-entity, global organization with a large employee presence in the United States.
People management experience.
Experience operating in an HRIS. Dayforce experience is a plus.
Experience utilizing an HR service ticketing system is a plus.
Competency
Proven experience as an Associate or Assistant HR Director or in a similar senior HR manager role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated excellence in project management.
Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt HR strategies to different business cultures and identities.
Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering results.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong Hebrew and English oral and written language skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
2 - 3 direct reports operating as individual contributors in an HR generalist capacity.
Work Environment
Work environment is a hybrid between home office-based and company office-based. Temperature, noise level, and other environmental factors may vary. Time in the office and work schedule may flex based on local events to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees.
Physical Demands
Physical demands are equal to that commonly associated with office work. The majority of work time is spent sitting at a desk in front of a computer.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full time position. Company office hours are Sunday through Thursday, 9 am – 6 pm with a 30 minute break daily. The official rest day is Saturday. Must be available and meet obligations for internal and external customers during standard business hours and as necessary. Work schedule may flex based on workload and project assignment. Some after hours and weekend work as projects and workload require.
Travel
Travel on an as-needed basis, but generally no more than 10%. Travel may occur outside of the country and may be overnight.
