The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Public & Federal Sales Director to lead Classiq’s growth within the US Federal Government and overall public sector, including civil, research, defence, intelligence, and more. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and closing strategic opportunities within those agencies and working with ecosystem partners.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Federal or B2G technology business and deep knowledge of the DoD and Federal procurement landscape, as well as an active, existing network within government and defence communities. This is a highly strategic role with the opportunity to shape how cutting-edge quantum computing technology is adopted within this domain.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own the full federal cycle, from prospecting and engagement through planning, proposal, negotiation, and contract close.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the US public and federal sectors, aligned with Classiq’s overall growth objectives and in tight collaboration with the CRO and local teams.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Government offices including but not limited to DoD, intelligence agencies, and federal civilian organizations.
- Engage with systems integrators, prime contractors, and strategic partners to expand Classiq’s reach within the federal ecosystem.
- Manage and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and government solicitations in coordination with legal and technical teams.
- Collaborate with marketing and government affairs to develop targeted campaigns, events, and messaging for the federal market, including working with externals in the US.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and provide accurate forecasting to leadership.
- Stay informed on policy developments, funding programmes, and procurement vehicles relevant to emerging technologies and quantum initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Federal or Government technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets- must. Active DoD Security Clearance. Deep tech knowledge is good to have but not a main criteria ( you will be assigned w.
- Deep understanding of DoD and Federal procurement processes, contract vehicles (e.g., IDIQ, GSA, OTA), and acquisition cycles in select programs like DOE’s NQISRCs, DARPA QBI, NIST (NQI & NSF), and more use cases like PQC etc, to name a few.
- Existing relationships with key decision-makers across defence and intelligence communities strongly preferred.
- Experience selling advanced technologies (e.g., SaaS, deep tech, cybersecurity, HPC, or emerging technologies) to government entities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to navigate complex organizations and drive initiatives independently.
- Familiarity with quantum computing, high-performance computing, or advanced R&D programs is a plus.
