The Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller to join our growing finance team at Classiq. We are a privately held company following its Series C funding round, operating across multiple regions.

In this role, you will support financial reporting, analysis, and operational accounting processes. You will report directly to the Director of Finance and collaborate closely with colleagues across the US, Japan and Europe to ensure accurate reporting and effective financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with local regulations and accounting standards.
  • reporting Perform month-end and quarter-end closings, including reconciliations and internal controls.
  • Analyze actual results versus forecasts and budgets on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet and P&L reports.
  • Monitor and analyze cash flow.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
  • Prepare and maintain the company’s annual budget and forecasts, delivering key financial insights to management.
  • Manage and review vendor payments.
  • Assist with external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed.
  • Support additional accounting and finance-related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • CPA qualified, after completing an internship in one of the Big 4 firms.
  • Strong analytical skills, hands-on approach, and high level of accountability.
  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite – an advantage.
  • High level of English – written and spoken.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork orientation, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
