Job Summary:
In this role, you will create and manage large, complex CAD assemblies, build out a common hardware library, and create engineering drawings for HPM phased array components. The ideal candidate has expert level proficiency in Solidworks and Solidworks PDM, is extremely detail oriented, and communicates proactively and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain error-free complex Solidworks assemblies
- Identify and correct issues with CAD models and drawings while ensuring CAD models and drawings adhere to modeling best practices
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies in collaboration with engineering teams
- Manage part metadata and component library in Solidworks PDM
- Create part and assembly level drawings with proper application of GD&T
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of industry experience with Solidworks and Solidworks PDM
- Certified Solidworks Professional (CSWP) or demonstrated advanced Solidworks skillset
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and engineering drawings
- Proficient in GD&T concepts and application per ASME Y14.5-2009
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative mindset with clear and concise communication skills across engineering disciplines
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Solidworks and Solidworks PDM
- Associates degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD Design/Drafting, or related engineering field
- Previous experience as a CAD Librarian, drafter, or similar
- Experience with electrical harness routing in Solidworks environment
