The infrastructure engineering team at HUMAN is responsible for the development of infrastructure platforms - from DevOps and open-source solutions like Kubernetes and database systems to critical backend components that handle the company’s traffic at huge scales with endless challenges. We design and implement a combination of those to provide engineering teams with the best platform for them to deliver upon.
Our systems handle hundreds of thousands to millions of requests per second with a very strict response time limitation, resulting in a very critical system presenting endless infrastructure engineering challenges. We run thousands of nodes on 10+ cloud regions and put a big emphasis on FinOps.
We’re looking for an experienced DevOps engineer with a burning passion for software and infrastructure to help lead the team and define its vision and culture. An ideal candidate is someone passionate, tech-savvy, and independent, who can identify and suggest potential points for improvement, who works well within a team, and who has plenty of experience with complex, high-performance backend systems.

What you'll do:

  • Independently identify points for improvement within our infrastructure, from DevOps to backend components, design and implement solutions to improve performance and developer experience.
  • Monitor critical production systems, help identifying root causes and issues.
  • Mentor and educate the engineering teams on our systems and culture.
  • Have a key impact on the performance of our entire system, reaching millions of users every second.
  • Help shape the team vision and culture, and take a lead role in pursuing it.

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • 4+ years managing complex cloud infrastructures.
  • A burning passion for infrastructure and DevOps, and for software in general.
  • Coding skills in Go, Python, or similar languages, with at least 3 years of active development experience.
  • A team player who puts the team first, and is able to take on a leading role within it.
  • Involvement in tech communities - open-source activity, giving or attending talks and conferences, writing and reading technical blog posts - big advantage.
