Premise

Premise

Software Engineering
Washington, DC, USA
Posted on May 27, 2023

We all know every decision should be driven by data. But what about the data you don’t know? For years, the status quo in data aggregation has lacked visibility, moved slowly, and cost too much…leaving organizations to make critical decisions, day after day, without the whole picture. Premise changes that.

Across 138 countries and counting, our technology connects communities of global smartphone users to source actionable data in real-time, cost-effectively and with the visibility the world’s most innovative companies, governments and development organizations need.

With Premise, organizations win. And communities win, too. People can earn more from their opinions and discoveries. They can influence their cities for the better. And, unlike other data sourcing methods out there, they can do it all with full transparency that the data they’re gathering is going to an organization that values it…and values them.

Position Summary

Premise is growing, and we are looking to add a Manager, Solutions Engineering to lead a team of analysts, data scientists, and coders, providing technical and analytical guidance while helping devise a range of creative solutions to our customer’s non-traditional needs. This position will be managing our data science and analytics pod within the Data Solutions team, which is responsible for all customer-facing deliverables for the company. This pod focuses on everything from scripting and data quality/management to analysis, visualization, and finished reports and works closely with the broader team’s methodologists, statisticians, and analysts to deliver compelling, comprehensive solutions to our customers.

The Data Solutions team handles all non-portal-based requirements for customers across our three verticals – public security, international development, and commercial – so you will have exposure to the full range of customer use cases and help provide insights across numerous subject areas. You will also have the opportunity to innovate with data visualization, analysis, and enrichment to enhance the rich attributes of Premise data, while also conducting internal investigations into our network and user behavior to optimize those elements for our customers. This person/team is a customer-centric advocate responsible for identifying and executing solutions that meet the customer’s needs and provide insight/value against a range of opportunities.
