As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for proactively seeking new business opportunities by educating and engaging with prospective inbound customers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, tenacious, confident, and a hustler who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and doesn’t take no for an answer. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to act as a subject matter expert on Rhombus cameras and software.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive awareness and interest through targeted email outreach, and social engagement
  • Engage inbound leads by providing valuable information and to build long-term trusting relationships.
  • Educate and nurture leads on Rhombus products until they are qualified to speak with an Account Executive.
  • Identify customer needs, suggesting appropriate solutions effectively.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities across various markets.
  • Maintain accurate records and detailed analysis of all lead interactions within the CRM system.
  • Share feedback and collaborate with team members and managers to improve processes and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, marketing, telemarketing, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas and solutions.
  • Proven ability to articulate product value and engage with prospects confidently to build rapport.
  • Self-driven and highly organized, able to manage tasks autonomously in a team environment.
  • Resilient and persistent with a competitive mindset and a passion for achieving goals.
  • Coachable and willing to receive and implement feedback to drive results.
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Apollo, Chili Piper, Zoom, and Dialpad is a plus.
This is a hybrid position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the Sacramento office 2-3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday).
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation
$50,000 - $75,000 USD
Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include uncapped commission, sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
