About the Role:
We are seeking an Financial Planning Manager to lead the company’s financial planning and analysis function, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking. This role will provide critical financial insights to support business decisions and drive operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to track revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess risks and opportunities.
- Work with department heads to build accurate and actionable financial plans.
- Financial & Operational Reporting
- Own the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process, providing leadership with clear insights into financial performance.
- Analyze budget vs. actual variances, explaining key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to improve financial visibility across the organization.
- Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
- Improve forecasting accuracy, reporting automation, and financial planning processes.
- Support system implementations and enhancements related to financial planning and reporting tools.
- Ensure financial compliance with government contracting regulations (CAS, FAR, DFARS) where applicable.
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, or business analysis.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, defense contracting, or hardware technology is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), financial planning tools, and BI platforms.
- Ability to communicate financial insights effectively to senior leadership.
