The opportunity

As our Corporate Development & Strategy Manager, you join a small team that reports directly to Dataminr’s CFO, Tiffany Buchanan. The team plays a critical role in shaping firmwide strategic planning and execution, supporting growth, capital markets activities, investor relations and key financial initiatives across the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating complex, ambiguous business problems through data analysis, market research, internal performance metrics, and industry benchmarking to inform strategic planning

  • Supporting corporate development initiatives, including financial modeling and business analysis for new business opportunities and M&A activity

  • Assisting in the execution of complex transactions and due diligence processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Contributing to capital markets activities such as equity and debt financing, investor outreach, and capital structure planning

  • Supporting IPO readiness and investor relations efforts by preparing financial narratives, investor materials, and participating in meetings with bankers and investors

  • Developing strategic plans and presentations for the Executive Team and Board of Directors to guide high-impact business decisions

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with demonstrated high standards of excellence in academics, extracurriculars, and work experience

  • 4+ years of total experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, investor relations, or corporate development

  • Experience and/or fundamental knowledge of Capital Markets and/or M&A activities e.g. valuations, financial planning, fundraising

  • Strong, proven quantitative skills including financial modeling, analysis, and research

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate insight into content, and create structured presentations

  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,600 - $170,000. You will also be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus and Company equity. Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
