What you will be doing, your legacy:

• Perform security monitoring activities to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner, utilizing SIEM and other security tools.
• Participate in vulnerability management activities, including vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation coordination.
• Contribute to endpoint security efforts, including implementing and maintaining endpoint protection platforms, antivirus software, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Assist in network security tasks, such as configuring and maintaining firewalls, web application firewalls (WAF), and other network security devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of security controls and practices with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Assist in documentation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies through continuous learning and professional development activities.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in securing endpoints, servers, infrastructures, and networks.
• Understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, networking, and operating systems.
• Experience with supporting security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM and WAF.
• Practical experience in programming/scripting languages like Python, Bash, Powershell, and developing tools to automate operational tasks.
• Upper intermediate spoken and written English level.
• Strong self-motivation and orientation toward results.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for tackling challenges, and commitment to collaborative teamwork.

Desired skills or interests in:

• Practical experience working in an agile environment.
• Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST 800-53, CIS Critical Security Controls, etc.), and related security principles for risk identification and analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, best practices, and technologies, with experience securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as GitLab, Terraform, etc.
• Certifications in security, networking and/or cloud environments.
